Led by pianist Todd Marston, Choose to Find is an instrumental "power quartet" comprised of piano (Marston), guitar (Colin Sapp), bass (Andy Dow) and drums (Mike Daillak). Their influences know little boundaries, drawing sonic elements from lush art-pop such as Radiohead, Mogwai, and Bjork; visionary composers Steve Reich and Henryk Gorecki; piano greats Keith Jarrett and Brad Mehldau; virtuosic electronica like Squarepusher and Aphex Twin; and the intensity of Rage Against the Machine. Choose to Find translates these diverse influences into a volume of original material that has found its expression in powerful, high energy, and emotive performances that draws in fans of both mainstream and art music. Each song tells a story and draws the listener through a dynamic spectrum of mood, which ranges from the subtle and refined to raw outbursts characteristic of punk rock (from which Marston draws his early musical influence). Their debut self-titled album, Choose to Find, was released in the spring of 2007, and is available online at cdfreedom.com/choosetofind.
